Toofan Movie Review
Toofaan is a Hindi language sports drama directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and starring Farhan Akhtar in the lead role. The film tells the story of a street smart goon, Ajju Bhai, who transforms into a professional boxer, Aziz Ali, under the guidance of a passionate coach, Nana Prabhu, played by Paresh Rawal.

The movie starts with Ajju Bhai, a local goon who gets involved in illegal activities for his boss, but his life takes a turn when he meets Ananya, played by Mrunal Thakur, who inspires him to turn his life around. He starts training under Nana Prabhu, a former boxer who has a passion for the sport, and eventually becomes a skilled boxer.
Toofaan is a typical underdog story that follows the journey of a man who fights against all odds to achieve his dreams. Farhan Akhtar delivers a powerful performance as Ajju Bhai, showcasing his transformation from a reckless goon to a focused athlete. Paresh Rawal's portrayal of Nana Prabhu, the coach who sees potential in Ajju, is also commendable.
The film is well-made, with excellent cinematography and well-executed fight sequences that keep the audience engaged. The soundtrack by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy complements the film, with some catchy and upbeat tracks.
However, the film is not without its flaws. The script at times feels formulaic and predictable, with some scenes feeling rushed and underdeveloped. The romantic subplot between Ajju and Ananya also feels forced and unnecessary, taking away from the main storyline.
